Lifelong Learning

ArchwayWhether prompted by a crisis or a profound curiosity to uncover that which is hidden within, the path of awareness arouses a heartfelt bond to both our human potential to open, and our human predicament of contraction. Although there are clearly differences in how we meet ourselves and the world around us, as depth practitioners we find that we are not alone – that there is common ground amongst us all reflected in a teaching that the Buddha gave over 2500 years ago in the Four Noble Truths. These truths recognize the base of our human condition – that we all experience suffering, or dukkha, but also that miserable conditions need not become misery; that there is a genuine path to the cessation of suffering. We will certainly need an immense amount of encouragement and support to awaken from the human habit of struggling with existence and developing experiential insight. Sarah and Ty’s teachings, retreats, and community are meant to provide a safe supportive haven for awakening to what Tibetans call our natural state, a relaxed, caring, and lucid quality of awareness.

Through ongoing attendance of Sarah and Ty’s workshops, intensives, retreats and/or completing certification through the Insight Yoga Institute, you will experience some of the essential ingredients for learning to rest in your authentic nature, inspired by skillful self-practice and ever more subtle and relevant experiential insights.

The teachings are timeless and are able to be understood at ever more refined levels as one matures. The opportunities to practice are infinite. This commitment to living whole-heartedly invites lifelong learning – to continually seek and deepen our connection to our essence nature. By placing ourselves in a retreat setting, outside of our day-to-day experiences, we can continue the process of unraveling our conditioned patterns, creating more space to open to creative engagement with ourselves and life.
